Online PvP
A Hexwing duel runs directly between the two browsers. Once you are matched, your game and your opponent's talk to each other over a WebRTC data channel โ the lowest-latency link a browser can open to another browser. The server only handles accounts, the arsenal, matchmaking and the handshake.
Finding a match
- Find a match pairs you with the waiting player whose network is nearest yours, measured before you queue, so duels start on the shortest path available.
- Private rooms: share a room code and play exactly who you mean to.
- Friends and challenges: add friends by username; a challenge opens a private room for the two of you and shows up on their Social tab.
- Clans: make one with a name and a 2โ5 character tag, or join by tag. Your tag shows everywhere your name does, and clans are ranked by combined wins.
Fair by construction
Each player owns their own vessel, their own shots and the damage they take; both sides expand the same fire events into identical projectiles, and both report the result. Vessels share one identical hitbox, every ability spends the same damage budget for its tier, and a 2D player and a 3D player can fight each other โ the two renderers draw the same simulation.
Rematches, ratings, the leaderboard
After a match, Fight again opens a rematch bar: pick a new loadout, ready up, and the same opponent joins you in a private room. Wins, losses, draws and a rating feed the leaderboard; beating a player unlocks six new base abilities, and skins drop faster on wins.
Play from anywhere
Hexwing runs in the browser on a phone, a tablet or a desktop, and installs as an app from the sign-in screen. If two networks have no direct path between them, the match says so rather than routing your fight through a server.
Hexwing is free, in the browser, no download.
